With classic rich beef flavor, our Chuck Roast is perfect for low and slow cooking. The generous marbling (along with the flavors that the natural nutrient rich foods our beeves receive) yields moist succulent full-flavored meat that melts in your mouth. This cut is perfect for a family meal, a gathering of friends or a romantic dinner with plenty of savory left overs.
While we occasionally get a little crazy and smoke one of these, it's a family favorite to sear it in olive oil in a cast iron pan and then simply toss the chuck roast into the crock pot. We put in generous amounts of onions, diced tomatoes, carrots, potatoes and garlic along with a cup of red wine, some salt, pepper, rosemary and a couple other secret spices that great grandma's recipe calls for and let it cook for 6 - 8 hours while we're all of doing our day things. That evening when we gather for dinner - its always the best part of the day.
